Remove and permanently reduce unwanted hair PDF Print E-mail
BEFORE - hair on upper lipAFTER pulsed light hair removal
BEFORE - underarm hairAFTER pulsed light hair removal

We will remove hair from the following places: the face, lower abdomen, underarms, forearms, and the bikini line.

We can remove and permanently reduce unwanted hair using pulsed light. Pulsed light systems are similar to lasers, but produce larger beams of light for wider coverage and faster, more comfortable treatments.

Without damaging the skin, pulses of concentrated light are directed into the skin and absorbed by the hair follicles and converted to heat. The heat disables the follicles temporarily and ends up permanently reducing the amount of hair that will grow back. Pulsed light will even remove hair before it becomes visible.

For optimal results, a series of three to six treatments spaced three months apart is recommended. Follow-up treatments will be needed to maintain results.

Our pulsed light equipment delivers energy to the skin over a relatively long period of time without overheating the outer layer of skin. This makes the pulses safer and more comfortable. You may experience a feeling similar to that of a rubber band being snapped on the skin, but most people do not report this sensation as painful. We may use a topical anesthetic to maximize your comfort.

You may experience temporary redness and a mild sunburn-like effect that may last a few hours to a few days. In rare instances, temporary swelling and/or blistering may occur.

You can resume your regular activities immediately.
